The Payment Systems Operations Consultant works closely with the Assistant Director or Manager of Payment Systems contributing to the strategic and near-term management of the Woodforest debit card program and network payment service operations, programs, and products and services.

Key Responsibilities: · Coordinates oversight and monitoring of the day-to-day operations of the card and network payment systems. · Partners with team members in the ownership and continuous monitoring of the debit card and payment systems network income and expense. · Under the guidance of the Assistant Director or Manager of Payment Systems Operations, develops and manages key performance indicators (KPI’s)/metrics for debit card program and payment systems operations network. · Assists the Director or Manager with preparation of business summary activity reports for review by 1-Up manager; provides administrative and project support such as monitoring and reporting on department performance measures and regulatory and audit compliance. · Adheres to administrator data retention standards according to organizational and regulatory requirements for payment systems.

Competencies Required: · Expert level knowledge of payment systems products, services, payment processing, electronic fund transfer switching/settlement, regulatory guidelines and industry standards and practices. · Experience in technology and banking and payments; particularly strong working knowledge and understanding of EMV, Digital Products/Payments. · Proven ability to deal with major service providers, networks, and vendors. · Demonstrate leadership qualities, mentoring ability, project leadership and delegation, follow-through, team participation and self-management. · Strong technical and reporting skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. · Solid analytical skills with strong attention to detail and concern for data accuracy. · Exceptional verbal communication and technical writing skills with an ability to effectively interact with and convey information to people who possess varying levels of understanding on applicable topics. · Strong planning and organizational skills, with an ability to assist with establishing a strategic direction and subsequently develop and manage supporting initiatives. · Strong overall business acumen with an ability to understand the direction, priorities, and goals of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience: · 3 years’ payment systems technology administration experience required. · 3 years’ product management in payment systems industry preferred. · 3 years’ experience in the banking or financial services preferred. · Microsoft SQL experience preferred.

Formal Education & Certification: · Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent amount of directly related work experience and training.

Work Status: · Full-Time.

Supervisory Responsibility: · None.

Travel: · Up to 5% travel expected.

Working Conditions: · Conditions involve lifting no more than ten pounds, sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, moving, or standing for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying articles like files, ledgers, folders, etc.
