The Database Administrator is responsible for managing and optimizing performance of assigned database systems. This includes daily management and administration, and support for business continuity of the servers.

Key Responsibilities: · Provides day-to-day management and implementation of the Bank’s database environment including administration, backup and recovery activities, and change control. · Processes service tickets; troubleshoots system issues, resolves database related incidents and completes maintenance requests. · Configures, tests, installs, and migrates new instances and databases in multiple environments. · Monitors and analyzes performance including capacity planning, system checks and audits; makes recommendations for improvements and completes requests for additional resources and support as needed. · Serves as a resource for the audit and security departments when needed.

Competencies Required: · Solid understanding of database administration, management, and related files and data to production events and outcomes. · Solid understanding of Microsoft database replication technologies including Availability Groups and Mirroring. · Strong technology and troubleshooting skills with working knowledge of a broad range of related software such as SQL, Oracle, Powershell, Azure, and Microsoft Office Suite. · Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to effectively identify and translate business user needs, and to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner. · Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage timelines and prioritize workload in a high-pressure, results-oriented environment, utilizing Agile and DevOps. · Self-starter with the ability to work independently while supporting a team environment. · Flexibility to provide after hours and weekend support on occasion to support business needs. · Resourceful and highly adept at problem identification and incident resolution using experience and developed analytical skills. · Possesses general systems architecture and engineering skills. · Possesses strong attention to detail and concern for data accuracy. · Ability to quickly comprehend complex technical and logical concepts and master new programs and systems including but not limited to Service Now, Sentry One and Rubrik.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience: · 3 - 5 years administrating or supporting database systems with coding experience required. · 3 years administration experience with Azure and SQL required. · Experience with Oracle is a plus. · Financial services or banking industry experience preferred.

Formal Education & Certification: · Associate’s degree in technology, business, or related field preferred. · Industry recognized system administration or development certification preferred. Work Status: · Full-Time.

Supervisory Responsibility: · None.

Travel: · 0% - Negligible amount of travel expected.

Working Conditions: · Conditions involve lifting no more than ten pounds, sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, moving, or standing for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying articles like files, ledgers, folders, etc.
